    Digital Desk: Last evening, on June 15th miscreants set fire to the property of Union Minister of State for External Affairs and Education RK Ranjan Singh in the Kongba- Nandeibam Leikai region of Imphal East, barely days after Minister Nemcha Kipgen's residence in Imphal was set ablaze on June 15. 

    A swarm of miscreants rushed to R K Ranjan Singh's residence gate at about 11:00 p.m. last night and set fire to his apartment and a few constructed buildings. 

    Ranjan Singh's house was partially destroyed by fire, and the improvised construction was completely burned down. 


    Reportedly, the mob outnumbered the home guards stationed at the gate of the neighbourhood. 
    Imphal East police deployed tear gas shells to disperse a crowd that had gathered near RK Ranjan Singh's house. 

    As per reports, R K Ranjan Singh and his family were not present at the time of the incident. 

    According to sources, the incident occurred on June 15. varying reports, the area is dominated by Kukis, Meitei, Muslims, and Bengalis.
