    Advantage Assam 2.0 Summit: PM Modi To Attend As Chief Guest In Guwahati

    Chief Minister Sarma also met Union ministers Nirmala Sitharaman, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Hardeep Singh, and Piyush Goyal to chair different sessions in the Advantage Assam summit.


    Digital Desk: Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma confirmed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Assam within a few days to attend the Advantage Assam 2.0 summit as a Chief Guest. In a meeting with PM Modi on Monday at Parliament House in New Delhi, CM Sarma invited the Prime Minister and received valuable guidance regarding the summit, which focuses on investment and infrastructure.  


    Taking to X, CM Sarma said, "It was an absolute privilege to meet Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi Ji today. On behalf of the people of Assam, I expressed our gratitude for the Govt's decision to approve the Urea Plant in Namrup, which will be a game-changer in the State's developmental journey. I received valuable guidance from the Hon'ble Prime Minister on the upcoming #AdvantageAssam2 Summit and the Mega Jhumur performance and shared our joy in welcoming him to Assam in a few days from now."


    CM Sarma also expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the central government for approving the Namrup-based Urea plant. He said that this decision is going to be a game-changer in Assam's development. During this visit, PM Modi will also attend the Mega Jhumur performance, an attempt to set a world record with 8000 artists at the Sarusajai Stadium in Guwahati on February 24.
