    Assam Finance Minister Ajanta Neog, Chandra Mohan Patowary distribute AMFIRS cheques in Kamrup

    A total of 5,000 recipients received checks today, with the remainder of the district's beneficiaries receiving checks at their respective Blocks.


    Digital Desk: At a ceremony held at the Kumar Bhaskar Barman Kshetra in Amingaon on Saturday, Assam's Finance Minister Ajanta Neog and Industries & Commerce Minister-cum-Guardian Minister of Kamrup district Chandra Mohan Patowary, along with other dignitaries, ceremonially distributed cheques to beneficiaries under the Assam Micro-Finance Incentive and Relief Scheme (AMFIRS) 2021 in Kamrup district.


    As per a report, a total of 5,000 recipients received checks today, with the remainder of the district's beneficiaries receiving checks at their respective Blocks. Ajanta Neog, who addressed the meeting, urged all beneficiaries to put the incentive to good use so that their families might succeed while also contributing positively to the state's economy.


    Patowary expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma for undertaking such a daring effort in the area of women's empowerment.


    The event's welcome address was given by Kamrup's Deputy Commissioner, Kailash Karthik N. Norshing Bey, DDC, Kamrup, gave the vote of gratitude. Bhubaneswar Kalita, a Rajya Sabha MP, also spoke at the meeting. Bhabesh Kalita, Diganta Kalita, Suman Haripriya, Nandita Das, Rekibuddin, and Ahmed were among the MLAs who spoke. Hemanga Thakuria, MLA, and Hemanta Choudhury, OSD to the Chief Minister, were among the dignitaries present on the occasion.
