    “Assam's load shedding issue will be resolved within ten days”: Power Minister Nandita Gorlosa

    The power department's prolonged load shedding has made summertime problems for the public worse. Additionally, the recent sharp increase in mercury levels has only made things worse for people, sparking demonstrations against the power outages.

    Digital Desk:  Nandita Gorlosa, the
    State's Power Minister, gave commuters the reassurance they needed on Sunday
    amidst a statewide uproar over Assam Power's massive and seemingly endless
    hours of load-shedding.



    color:black">A representative told Prag News that although power purchases have
    been made, power grid constraints are the primary cause of the load shedding.
    According to the official, the issue will be solved in a week.

    color:black">"Some transmissions in the Sisuram region experienced power
    outages, which caused issues for the rest of Assam. We are making progress, and
    the issues will be fixed. Technical glitches have occurred, but we will soon
    fix them, Gorlosa said in Guwahati. As per higher officials, this problem has
    been already resolved and they are currently working on the other critical
    issues.



    "Power department
    employees are working to restore electricity, and the load shedding issue will
    be resolved within the next 10 days," she continued.



    color:black">However, when the State cabinet was recently reshuffled, Gorlosa
    was appointed the new State Power Minister. As a result, the Power Department
    has been using lengthy periods of load-shedding to fuel protests against the
    department and Gorlosa in different parts of the State.
