Paramilitary companies are expected to be deployed in Assam ahead of the publication, along the CRPF. Around 150 additional companies and 60 companies from the Centre are expected to reach the state by the mid of the month. More companies will be developed in Assam before June 30. On the other hand, the deputy commissioners have been asked to monitor the situation minutely.
Assam Police to be deployed across the state
On the other hand, state police is also monitoring the social media platforms and messenger apps like WhatsApp to check communal-hatred inflicting messages and identify the potential trouble-rumor mongers.
To allay fear and confusion, the state government will carry out a massive publicity blitzkrieg post the publication of the final draft of the NRC.
A strong campaign will be launched to inform people about the process of filing claims and objections after the publication of the final draft NRC.
