    Assam records 161 new Covid-19 infections, positivity rate stands at 9.87%

    The Kamrup Metropolitan district, which includes largely Guwahati City, had the most instances (90), followed by Kamrup with 24 cases and Dibrugarh with 11.

    Digital Desk: According to the National Health Mission (NHM), Assam
    recorded 161 new COVID-19 cases, the highest number in almost five months.



    On February 14, 2022, 198 cases were reported to the
    state.



    On testing 1,631 samples on Monday, a total of 161
    COVID-19 patients were found throughout the state, indicating a positivity
    percentage of 9.87%, according to the daily report.



    The Kamrup Metropolitan district, which includes largely
    Guwahati City, had the most instances (90), followed by Kamrup with 24 cases
    and Dibrugarh with 11.



    In the past 24 hours, the virus has not been responsible
    for any fatalities.



    Total COVID-19 instances reported by the state are
    7,251,271. 7,16,573 COVID-19 patients have recovered from them thus far.



    Currently, the state has 710 active
    cases.
