Guwahati/23rd April’2018 (Prag News Desk):
Assam’s BJP MLA and minority wing chief Sayed Mominul Awal has made startling and controversial allegations against MLAs from Congress in Assam are of Bangladeshi origin.
MLA Sayed Mominul Awal has ‘strongly’ pointed fingers on some selected MLAs of Congress saying them to be of Bangladeshi origin and that it is because of the Congress that there has seen such a huge influx of Bangladeshis in India.
Sayed further stated that the Congress works will not benefit the people of Assam ever. People in the state came to know about this right after independence.
He also alleged that during the reign of Syed Mohammad Sadullah, illegal migrants from Bangladesh settled in a population of lakhs in Assam.
Awal also said that the people of Assam have not forgotten Congress’s 15 years rule which was marred with corruptions and no active work for development of the state.
He also alleges that there are many Bangladeshis in the BJP as well and that these Bangladeshi MLAs and MPs have joined BJP only to take opportunities as the BJP is in power in both the state as well as centre.
