Guwahati : If all goes well as planned by the state government then soon each one of us will be witnessing the construction of the state’s longest flyover. Forest Minister of Assam Parimal Suklabaidya through a presser said that the longest flyover of the state will be constructed at Kaziranga with 36 km long and 11 m wide.
The minister said that the Detailed Project Report (DPR) will be prepared within November and the construction process will be started after the DPR is submitted.
The National Highway Authorities of India (NHAI) is preparing the DPR. It has been further informed that the flyover will start from Burhapahar area. Suklabaidya also informed that there is no objection from the court till now for the construction of the flyover and that the project has been given a green signal by the National Green Tribunal, Forest Department and Central Government as well.
The flyover will be eco-friendly as notified by the Forest Minister of Assam. The construction work will be started from 2020-21 if all official works go in tandem without any objection.
