Guwahati: Assam’s MMA fighter Bhabajeet Choudhury has signed with one of Asia’s biggest fighting promotions “Brave Combat Federation”. On November 23, Choudhury will compete with England’s Martin Hudson.
Bhabajeet is the team captain of Gujarat in the Super Fight League. He competes in the Welterweight category (77kg). He is one of the most successful fighters of Northeast and has a professional MMA record of eight wins and three losses. By the year 2002, he acquired with at least 8 forms of MMA.
He is nicknamed as ‘Stretcher’ because often after his fights, the opponents leave on a stretcher. By winning some prestigious championships like WUSHU National Championship, Super Fight League (SFL), he became one of the most notable Mixed Martial Artists from Assam.
He introduced a training institute in Assam which goes by the name “Bidang”. The institute focuses on providing training towards martial arts and also assists the children who are addicted to drugs.
