Assam Police on Sunday recovered a huge quantity of explosives near Kanu Bhugbari village in Charaideo district of Assam-Arunachal Pradesh border. A big disaster has been prevented by the Charaideo police by recovering huge quantities of explosives after being reported of a probable bomb blast near Assam-Arunachal Pradesh border.
Reportedly, these explosives were found buried neat the residence of one Ananta Gogoi of Kanu Bhugbari village.
Big disaster prevented by Charaideo Police
As per sources, police managed to recover huge cache of RDX weighing 6 kilos (suspected), remote controls detonators, explosive devices and bomb-making items from the spot.
Police also recovered some clothes which were apparently used up by the suspected cadres of ULFA(I).
As per Police sources, these suspected ULFA(I) cadres were also involves in firing indiscriminately at the Brahmaputra Fuel Centre at Sepekheti on April 23 late evening.
Meanwhile, an operation has been launched by the Charaideo Police in this regard.
Investigation on the whole incident is still continuing and further details will be added very soon.
