CM Sarma said, "Weakening the BJP does not mean weakening any individual. It means weakening an ideology and national pride. Weakening the BJP means creating innumerable obstacles in the path to take India to the world stage."
Digital Desk: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will serve India till the sun and moon will be there.
Addressing party workers during the occasion of the 46th foundation day of BJP in Guwahati on April 6, CM Sarma said that weakening the ruling party will mean creating 'innumerable obstacles' in India's path to accomplish the position of a global leader.
CM Sarma said, "Weakening the BJP does not mean weakening any individual. It means weakening an ideology and national pride. Weakening the BJP means creating innumerable obstacles in the path to take India to the world stage."
He added, "The BJP will serve the nation till the sun and moon are there, I wish the same. I appeal to all to dedicate themselves to the service of the nation."
The chief minister urged his party workers to take an oath to make India a global leader in the coming years. He said that nothing comes ahead of the nation's interest.
He further said that the BJP has been successful in leaving a positive imprint in every sphere of life in Assam, and that is the only reason behind the party ruling in every autonomous council, municipal council, and panchayat bodies.
CM Sarma along with Assam BJP chief Dilip Saikia hoisted the party flag at its state headquarters in Basistha Chariali in the presence of several senior leaders and members.
