Digital Desk: Cotton University hosted a seven-day long workshop from July 1–7, 2022 at Cotton University on blended mode research methodology for social sciences. The Department of Economics organized the workshop with support from ICSSR-NERC, Shillong. Among the universities represented in the programme were Cotton University, Gauhati University, Dibrugarh University, Tripura University, Rajiv Gandhi Central University, Assam Don Bosco University, Tezpur University, Patna University, Patliputra University, IIT, Kanpur, and IIT, Guwahati. Dr. Sanjay Kumar Dutta, Cotton University's academic registrar, inaugurated the event. The ICSSR-Director of NERC's (Honorary), Prof. B. Panda, attended the opening ceremony. Manisha Sarma, head of Cotton University's department of economics, gave the opening remarks. The programme was coordinated by Dr. Hemanta Barman, an Assistant Professor in Cotton University's department of economics.

Dr. Rupon Basumatary, an Assistant Professor in Cotton University's department of economics, delivered the thank-you speech at the valedictory event.
