Digital Desk: The Centre for Studies in Journalism and Mass Communication (CSJMC) at Dibrugarh University hosted its two-day debut edition of "The Kaleido Conclave" in collaboration with Oil India Limited (OIL) and Brahmaputra Cracker and Polymer Limited (BCPL) on May 26 and 27.
As per reports, among those present at the event were East Mojo editor-in-chief Karma Paljor, journalist Oineetom Ojah, OIL spokesperson Tridiv Hazarika, independent filmmaker Jaicheng Zxai Dohutia of Baghjan fame, and Guwahati-based master of puppeteer Binita Devi.
The two-day conference focused on journalism, public relations, cinema, and new media.
Prof Deb Kumar Chakraborty, the keynote speaker, emphasized how policies, with the help of the media as a gateway, have the power to be an agent of change.
