Lamare on Wednesday inspected the newly constructed ISBT building in
Shillong.
Talking to reporters, the minister stressed on the need to
study the whole thing, even as he mentioned that no-one could foresee that this
is going to happen. He even mentioned that the bills of the contractor are yet
to be cleared.
Lamare also informed that the repairing work is being done.
After the shoddy construction of the Inter-State Bus Terminus (ISBT) at Mawlai
Mawiong came to light.
Many have expressed concern over the safety of the ISBT due
to the poor quality of work that has led to leakage of the roof. The
constructing the ISBT is done with support of central government as well as the
North Eastern Council, which has funded Rs 48.31 crore for the project.
