Administration in Assam declared two days in October to be "Dry
Days."
The dates of October 2 and October 5 were
designated as dry days by the authorities. Notably, October 2 has been
designated a dry day in observance of Gandhi Jayanti, while the state will
commemorate Sankardeva's birth anniversary on October 5.
