Guwahati : Education Minister of Assam Siddhartha Bhattacharya opened a dairy farm at his official residence in Dispur whose “business” is getting lot of attention.

Siddhartha Bhattacharya was keeping himself busy these days with his department’s vacancy “loopholes” as well as the laid back nature of the officers.
It seems the Minister has taken a leaf from Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal’s appeal to the people of the state to take up dairy farming to start a milk revolution in Assam.

As per information, the cowshed has a total of five Jersey cows. The Minister has appointed four employees for the management of the farm. “Around 20 litres of milk is produced every day here. We four are responsible to take care of the farm. We are paid Rs 300 each daily,” said one of the workers.
It may be mentioned that this is the first time in Assam that a cabinet minister has decided to start a dairy farm inside his official residence.

Siddhartha Bhattacharya’s dairy farming has attracted quite lot of attention as it is for the first time that a minister has taken this initiative to start a dairy farm within an official complex.
