The exclusive scene of police taking bribes right next to the DCP office located in Jalukbari was captured by a Prag News camera.
Digital Desk: This time in the metropolis, Jalukbari police got into the pockets of cattle and buffalo traders. Right in the Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma’s home constituency, Jalukbari Police were managed for Rs 500.
The exclusive scene of police taking bribes right next to the DCP office located in Jalukbari was captured by a Prag News camera.
Jalukbari Police had demanded Rs 5,000 from the vehicle owner to allow the buffalo vehicle to pass through National Highway 27. However, the buffalo traders gave Rs 500 which they initially refused.
The buffalo vehicle was coming from Mangaldai in Lower Assam towards Khanapara. These buffalo and cattle are exported from Khanapara to Meghalaya and Bangladesh.
Allegations have already been raised that hundreds of cattle and buffalo vehicles pass through National Highway 27 daily in this manner every night.
In this case, the traders manage every police station to get the cattle and buffalo vehicles to Khanapara. Even after presenting news several times before, the Assam Police have turned a deaf ear.
At a time when Assam CM has ordered the Home Department and police to work cleanly with the public for the welfare of the people, these police personnel have emerged as bribe-takers.
The scene of the police vehicle fleeing upon seeing the team of journalists was captured by a Prag News camera.
Now questions arise:
Into whose pockets this black money goes?
How many khaki-uniformed officers are managed with this money?
What action the Chief Minister will take regarding this matter?
