    Digital Desk: The state of Assam is projected to see considerable rainfall over the next five days, according to a prediction made on Saturday by the India Meteorological Department. 

    Assam is anticipated to have rainfall of 11 centimeters in Cachar and 7 centimeters in Hailakandi, according to a news statement from the Ministry of Earth Sciences, India Meteorological Department.

    In addition, the meteorological service issued a yellow alert for similar forecasts in other Assamese districts, including Darrang, South Salmara, Kokrajhar, and Goalpara. Bongaigaon, Chirang, Barpeta, Kamrup, and Kamrup Metro. 

    Meghalaya is also likely to have comparable rains, in addition to Assam.

    According to the press release, light to moderate rainfall is expected in the other Northeastern Indian states of Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Nagaland, Manipur, and Tripura on August 27 and 29.

    Additionally, Sikkim, West Bengal, and other Sub-Himalayan regions, as well as Bihar on August 27 and 28, are predicted to see isolated, intense rainfall on August 27.

    The weathering framework had earlier on August 23 forecasted 64.5 mm to 115.5 mm of rain in the Northeastern regions of India. On August 23, 26, and 27, it was anticipated that only Arunachal Pradesh will see thunderstorms and lightning.

    The weather organization has issued yellow warnings for the whole northeastern area, pleading with the locals to be alert of the current weather conditions.

    The government previously warned of expected thunderstorms, mudslides, and landslides at specific Northeastern India locations.
