Digital Desk: The Board of Secondary Education (SEBA) made a significant decision about the Secondary School Leaving Examination (HSLC) on August 10, and this decision is consistent with the New Education Policy (NEP).
Reportedly, the HSLC examination question paper will be revised. The 100-mark question paper will now include 45-mark objective questions split over four subjects.
The four subjects will be English, General Science, General Math, and Social Science. It will come into effect with the next 2023 HSLC exams.
Additionally, SEBA has said that the first 45 questions, or 50% of the total questions, will be objective in nature (very short questions – 01 mark each).
Concerning the remaining 50%, there will be a mix of two or three marks per question for the remaining 45 marks, as well as an internal assessment of 10 marks.
According to Ranoj Pegu, Assam's Minister of Education, the Board of Secondary Education (SEBA) is developing a mobile application for the benefit of students.
Speaking during the SEBA's launch of two mobile phone applications, he made this announcement.
Reportedly, the app will have online courses, question banks, and worksheets, among other features that would assist children in learning beyond what is given in the school curriculum.
Additionally, he claimed that the state's education department had been looking into digital education methods in order to keep up with the expanding usage of technology in all aspects of life.
He highlighted the importance of technology and digitization, saying that these methods are being used to ensure that kids will benefit more.
