Guwahati : The Air Chief Marshal Birender Singh Dhanoa on Thursday awarded Guwahati Air Force Station the ‘Pride of EAC’ Trophy for standing best in overall performance.
On the other hand, Air Force Station Salua in West Bengal was awarded the ‘Best non-Flying Station’.

The Air Chief Marshal also reviewed the security scenario in the region with commanders from the Eastern Air Command, according to an official. He also inaugurated the Commanders’ Conference in Meghalaya, according to an official.
Air officer Commander-in-Chief of the Eastern Air Command Air Marshal Raghunath Nambiar introduced the commanders to him.
Pride of EAC
The Chief of the Air Staff exhorted all field commanders for determined contribution towards the endevour of the organisation to upgrade the operational capability of Eastern Air Command, according to reports.
He also reportedly stressed the importance of leadership, team building and discipline, which are pivotal in pursuit of achieving the operational goals.
It is mentionable here that the Eastern Air Command, headquartered in Shillong, is responsible to cover 11 states.
The Air Chief Marshal also awarded trophies to the Commanders for achieving excellence in the fields of Operations, Maintenance and Administration.
