Guwahati zone thrives in Std XII but lags in Std X results for the year 2022

The Class X results, on the other hand, were a disappointment for the region, with an 82.23 pass percentage - almost 12% lower than the all-India success score of 94.4 per cent.

Guwahati placed ninth in the Class XII board exams, ahead of the Patna, Bhopal, Pune, Bhubaneswar, Noida, Dehradun, and Prayagraj regions. At the same time, the Trivandrum area took first place with a 98.83 pass %.

"We are pleased that the findings for the Guwahati zone are pretty similar to the national average.  Because last year's results were based on statistics, this year's results cannot be compared to last year's performance,"  stated KK Choudhury, Director of Northeast at CBSE.

52,676 candidates from the Guwahati region showed up, and 48,450 of them were successful. Girls did better than boys overall, with a success rate of 93.06 pass % compared to 91.88 for boys.

Independent or private schools came in second with a pass percentage of 98.67, followed by the Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) (97.14). Government schools in Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh came in last with 85.32 per cent.
