Guwahati : Khumtai constituency MLA Mrinal Saikia has demanded the Central government to declare war on Pakistan for their dastardly act of cowardice at Pulwama in Kashmir.
The legislator also demanded that Pakistan should be removed from the world map.
Speaking on the barbaric act of cowardice where 44 CRPF soldiers attained martyrdom when a suicide bomber rammed his SUV laden with 250 kg of explosives into the convoy carrying Indian soldiers of the CRPF, the legislator showed his anguish and asserted that India should declare war on Pakistan.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislator was speaking at the question hour of the on-going session of the Assam Assembly.
“Pakistan has been claiming unofficial war on India. So India by any means should declare war on Pakistan. If required Pakistan should be removed from the map,” said MLA Mrinal Saikia.
Congress MLA Abdul Khalek supported the MLA’s statements.
The attack on a CRPF convoy in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district that killed more than 40 jawans on February 14th, 2019 is the biggest terror attack in the past five years. The Jaish suicide bomber, identified as Adil Ahmad Dar, rammed an SUV laden with over 250 kg of explosives into the CRPF bus carrying about 40 personnel.
