A magisterial inquiry has been orderd into the death of a student of St Joseph’s High School in Sonari by the district magistrate of Charaideo.
After sustaining severe injuries on his head and leg, the Class-IV student, Rongrajan Mohan breathed his last in Dibrugarh on August 12.
On August 9, two students of the school were severely injured in the the wall that collapsed which was being built for the school’s urinal. Rongrajan and Priyangshu Pol Hazarika were injured in the accident and were shifted from the district civil hospital to Dibrugarh’s Aditya Hospital for treatment. Rongrajan was kept on life support at the Aditya Hospital.
Father Vijay Minj, Principal of the school, have declared two-day observance of mourning. The school management, faculty and the students also condoled his death at the assembly on Monday.
