Imphal: Manipur remained shut for the second consecutive day as demonstrations continued unabated across the state demanding solution to Nagalim issue. The Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI) has set November 4 as the deadline to reveal the details of the Indo-Naga peace talks that was held in Delhi on October 31.
Security was beefed across the state of Manipur as people marched the streets holding torchlights in response to the ongoing Naga peace talks with the centre.
The Centre is yet to make any formal announcements on the conclusion of the Naga peace talks. However, on Thursday, it assured to consult with all the stakeholders including Assam, Manipur and Arunachal Pradesh before any settlement is arrived at with Naga groups.
