Yesterday, the Assamese film industry lost one of its most cherished and loved personality, filmmaker, director and producer Munin Baruah, whose immense contribution to the Assamese film industry has now left behind a big hole in the hearts of his admirers.
The Assamese film industry plunged into a pall of gloom when the news of Munin Baruah’s late night death was released across the state yesterday.
As per reports, Baruah was not keeping well for the last few days and suddenly passed away in the interceding night of Friday and Saturday, around 1:55 am.
Baruah debuted as a director with his 1987 movie “Pratima”, but before that he started off with his film career working on scripts as a script writer. Some his most notable works of prominence are-, Pita Putro, Bowari, Ghar Sangsar, Sunmoina among others.
