    One crore worth of cannabis nabbed by Assam Police from Gossaigaon

    Police discovered massive amounts of marijuana hidden inside the truck after searching it.


    Digital Desk: During an operation in Gossaigaon, Kokrajhar district, Assam police seized cannabis worth over Rs 1 crore on Sunday.


    Shimultapu police officers intercepted a truck on the national highway at Shrirampur in Gossaigaon, according to officials.


    Police discovered massive amounts of marijuana hidden inside the truck after searching it.


    During the operation, 815 kilograms of cannabis were discovered and seized, according to police. According to them, the seizure is worth around Rs 1 crore.


    Meanwhile, the truck involved in the cannabis smuggling was confined, and the driver and wingman of the truck were arrested.


    Ram Biswas and Pintu Mishra, the arrested individuals, have been identified. According to officials, the truck's registration numbers were HR 55 R 5137.


    Assam Police has taken an aggressive standpoint against illegal drug trafficking and smuggling operations in the state.


    Another person was arrested with drugs on him today during an anti-narcotics operation in Assam's Rangia.


    The arrested peddler Imran Ali of Udiyan has been identified.
