    Over 11,000 candidates in 21 departments to receive appointment letters from Assam government today
    Recently, the Assam government appointed 27,737 individuals to government positions.

    Digital Desk: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma today will give over employment letters to 11202 candidates in 21 government ministries at Khanapara Veterinary Field in Guwahati.

    This is the second time the state has disseminated bulk appointment letters. Previously, the Assam government appointed 27,737 individuals to government positions.

    "What an enthusiasm about delivery of appointment letters to thousands of youth later in the day at Veterinary College playground, Khanapara!" said the Chief Minister on Twitter. Look forward to meeting our pledge to create one lakh jobs."


    "We pledge, we deliver—a major step toward our goal of creating one lakh jobs in Assam." Following 27,737 successful recruitments, the GoA will now hand over employment letters to 11,202 candidates in 21 government departments on September 23, 2022, in a ceremonial function in Khanapara, Guwahati," the CM tweeted on Wednesday.

    The Home and Political Department will have the most appointments (5,335), followed by School Education (3,811) and Higher and Technical Education (927).


    The Public Works Department (PWD) will hire 304 people, while the Health and Family Welfare Department will hire 299 people, the Panchayat and Rural Department will hire 277 people, and the Irrigation Department will hire 137 people.

    The Environment and Forest Department will nominate 33 candidates, the Skill, Employment, and Entrepreneurship Department will appoint 24 candidates, the Sports and Youth Welfare Department will appoint 13 candidates, and the Transformation and Development Department will appoint 11 individuals.

    Other departments that will be recruiting are Handloom and Textiles, Cooperation, Information, Public Relations, Skill, Employment, and Entrepreneurship.
