Hojai : Former Assam Minister and Congress candidate for Nagaon parliamentary constituency, Pradyut Bordoloi on April 12th 2019 fired slvo at NEDA convener and Assam Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
The Congress leader attacked Himanta Biswa Sarma by addressing as a “dirty insect” and a “communalist”.
“Himanta Biswa Sarma is a communalist. He should stop his divisive politics in the state. It is always certain in his speeches the use of Hindu-Muslim. There are no cultural reforms of the country in him,” Bordoloi said.
He was addressing a massive election campaign at Hojai district in Lankeswar for the ensuing Lok Sabha elections.
After successful completion of the first phase of the general elections on April 11th, five more parliamentary constituencies including Nagaon will go for polls in the second phase on April 18th. 68,36,496 and 74,07,824 voters in Phase II and III respectively will cast their votes in 28143 polling stations.
Bordoloi will fight against Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP’s) sitting MLA Rupak Sarmah for the Nagaon parliamentary seat.
Criticizing the BJP, Bordoloi said that the “present government has been a curse to the citizens of Assam.”
