    President Kamal Kumar Medhi, along with five other members of the regional
    party, jumped ship and joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Aside from Raijor Dal
    members, other Congress leaders have quit the Grand Old Party and joined the
    AAP.

    the Congress, joined the AAP in the presence of the party's National Secretary
    Pankaj Gupta.

    AAP include Jitul Deka, Anurupa Dekaroja, Binoy Deka, Dipankar Kalita, and
    Dibyajyoti Deka. On May 2, at 7 p.m., the newly inducted members will meet with
    AAP chief and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Meanwhile, the Aam Aadmi
    Party is attempting to grow its influence across India and present a genuine
    alternative to the Congress, which is on the decline.

    its parent mass organisation, Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS), for land

    professed political ideology, which encompasses federalism, equal rights,
    self-reliance, and scientific temper.
