    Renowned Assam Graphic Designer Amulya Baruah Passes Away At 75
    Amulya Baruah, a graduate from Cotton College with a Bachelor of Science degree, was originally from Digboi, Assam.

    Digital Desk: Renowned Assamese graphic designer, who had significant contributions to the design world, Amulya Baruah passed away in London on Saturday, May 3.

    Baruah suffered a stroke at his residence in London, as per report.

    Amulya Baruah, a graduate from Cotton College with a Bachelor of Science degree, was originally from Digboi, Assam.

    He was also an alumnus of Commercial Arts Department of the Sir JJ School of Art, Mumbai. He created the iconic one-horned rhinoceros logo for the Assam Tourism Department of the Government of Assam.

    Baruah is survived by his wife Lily, a descendant of the Thai royal family, and son Jasper.

    Amulya Baruah moved to England in the late 1970s and founded a graphic design farm under the name, 'Plus One Design'. The firm, established in central London, grew to become a prominent and leading design firm.

    Amulya Baruah, who earned global recognition for his artistic excellence and creativity, his death has left a void in the creative community.
