Assam government has planned to add two seats in medical colleges for each of
the state's six tribes.

After the cabinet meeting
that took place in Guwahati on Friday, State Cabinet minister Jayanta
Mallabaruah made this announcement.

Nine spots in the MBBS
programme are now available to former servicemen.

Additionally, the age
restriction for candidates appointed to medical colleges has been raised. In
all categories, the age restriction has been lowered by two years.

The general caste's upper
age restriction will now be 40 years, the OBC and MOBC's upper age limit has
been raised to 42 years, and the ST and SC's upper age limit is 45 years.

APDCL has been given permission to
utilize solar panels under the Fisheries Corporation, which was another
significant decision made by the cabinet today.

For the completion of the large
multi-village projects in Assam's Kamrup (Metro), Jorhat, and Hailakandi
districts, Rs 46.38 crores have been allocated.

The Assam Tea Corporation Limited has
received Rs 18.02 crores to offer bonuses to its staff. All employees will
receive a 20% bonus during Durga Puja.

Each of the 4,826 schools that received
an A on the Gunotsav exam will receive Rs 25,000.
