    Regional Meteorological Centre Reports: Possibility of widespread rainfall in Assam and Arunachal Pradesh until August 1

    Light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning is expected to continue over Nagaland, Manipur, and Mizoram until August 5.


    Digital Desk: The Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) predicted widespread rainfall in Assam and Arunachal Pradesh until August 1, 2022.


    The monsoon wave now passes through Ferozpur, Rohtak, Meerut, Gorakhpur, Muzaffarpur, Balurghat, central Bangladesh, Agartala, and thence eastwards to the northeast Bay of Bengal, according to an RMC report. 


    A cyclonic circulation exists between 0.9 and 1.5 km above mean sea level over northeast Uttar Pradesh and its surroundings.


    Widespread rainfall with isolated heavy falls and thunderstorms/lightning is expected to continue in Assam and Arunachal Pradesh until August 1.


    While scattered to fairly widespread, light/moderate rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning is expected to continue in Nagaland, Manipur, and Mizoram until August 5, according to the report.
