Shillong: The 4th International Cherry Blossom festival is to start from 13 to 16 November in Shillong.
The festival will be held by the Meghalaya Government, Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development (IBSD) and the Indian Council for Cultural Relations at the Polo 5th Ground and picturesque Ward’s lake.
A number of activities are lined up for the event including Japanese cosplay, Korean barbeque, rock concert, beauty pageant, bicycle rallies, storytelling sessions and many more. Besides the trees spreading their pink hues, the visitors can also be a part of these activities.
During the festival, several MoUs are expected to be inked with the key event in the festival being the summit between the Republic of Korea and Meghalaya government on the issues of environmental reclamation and waste to wealth.
