A youth from Delhi with a mission has reached Guwahati by walking 3,500 kilometres. The youth has walked this long in order to create awareness on the importance of blood donation.
Kiran Verma has travelled more than 10,500 kilometres and has walked approximately 3,500 kilometres promoting his mission.
Kiran was a marketing executive in New Delhi, who has sacrificed his job in order to promote the awareness. He has walked from Srinagar to Kanyakumari to Guwahati till now. During this journey, Verma has tried to create awareness about blood donation across the country promoting people to donate blood more and its importance.
Speaking exclusively to media personals, Kiran Verma said, “My journey is of 15 thousand kilometers and in this journey, I target to convince at least 1.5 lakh people to start donating blood. I speak to 10 people per kilometre and tell them about blood donation.”
Kiran started his journey from Srinagar then to Kanyakumari and now has reached Assam. Kiran further added that, he has donated over 40 times and is completely healthy without any side effects of multiple donations.
He further states that from Assam he will be heading towards Arunachal Pradesh and then Nagaland to Meghalaya.
Verma further stated that after his North East journey is completed and he succeeds in convincing enough number of people to start donating blood, he will head to Bhutan and then Sikkim. His last visit will be in Nepal and then he will head to Bhutan and then Sikkim. His last visit will be in Nepal and then he will wind up his journey in New Delhi.
