Upper Age limit extended in Assam Government state examinations
The state government has decided to extend the upper age limits of job seekers in many state held examinations.
Conveying the decision in a press meet, State Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced that the upper age limit for both Grade III and Grade IV have been raised from 38 years to 44 years.

Sarma also mentioned that there will be a relaxation of payment of Fees for candidates (candidates wouldn’t need to pay any fee) applying for both Grade III and Grade IV jobs.
Sarma also mentioned that there will be no application fees for candidates applying for Grade III and Grade IV jobs, though candidates belonging to general category would have to pay Rs 250, whereas ST/SC/OBC candidates will have to pay RS 150 as fees.
Meanwhile the salary for state level contractual teachers have been raised from Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,000
