Guwahati : Keeping his anger intact against Himanta, RP Sharma said, “We will form government in 2021 state assembly polls and win 70-80 seats but it will be outside the lobby. CM Sarbananda Sonowal will be there but Himanta Biswa Sarma is not going to be a part of it. We won’t allow ousted leader of Congress party.” while firing salvo at the State Finance Minister and convener of North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA), Himanta Biswa Sharma.
MP Sharma further added, “Tezpur is the land of cultural maestros – Jyoti, Bishnu and Phani. Hence, people should only vote for a wise and experienced leader.”
Tezpur is all set to witness a cut-throat contest between Pallab Lochan Das, state minister and BJP’s candidate and former bureaucrat, MGVK Bhanu, Congress’ candidate for the first phase of Lok Sabha polls in Tezpur LS seat.
It may be mentioned that MP Sharma had earlier said that he will start a new political party involving all the old BJP leaders in Assam who are now ‘neglected’ in the saffron party.
