Security guard who lost his job during Pandemic wins Rs 31 crore lottery

Armadale, Australia: A man who lost his job due to Coronavirus Pandemic became $5.8 million richer by winning Oz Lotto’s latest division lottery. The young father in his late 20s, who was previously a security guard was buying groceries for his 3-year-old daughter when he spotted the Lotterywest sign.

Much to his sheer luck, he won the lottery, even though he was totally ignorant to find out the result in the beginning. When he heard the news that the mystery winner from where he bought the ticket hadn’t yet come forward to claim the money, he checked his ticket. He turned out to be the winner.

The man hails from Armadale in Perth’s south-eastern outskirts. The winning ticket was purchased at Canning Vale Newsagency in Perth’s south.

Posting about it on Facebook a newsagent wrote, ‘We did it WA! One of our lucky customers will go home with $5.8 million after winning division one in last night’s Oz Lotto draw! We’d like to thank all of our loyal customers for their support and congratulate the lucky winner!’
