Arshdeep surges to career-best 23rd in ICC T20I rankings
Since making his debut on the international level, Singh has been one of India's most reliable players in the game's shortest format.

Digital Desk: Left-arm pacer for India, Arshdeep Singh, was rewarded a career-high rating of 23rd in the most recent ICC T20I rankings for bowlers on Wednesday in recognition of his consistent performance in the T20 World Cup 2022.

Since making his debut on the international level, Singh has been one of India's most reliable players in the game's shortest format.

The 23-year-old left-arm bowler is the tournament's top wicket-taker for the Indian squad and one of the reasons why India is presently in the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup in Australia with 10 wickets to his name.

Singh has now achieved a career-high rating of 23 because of his consistent performances throughout the competition.

Following the most recent update, Wanindu Hasaranga of Sri Lanka is in the lead. India's top-ranked bowler is Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who is currently ranked in 12th place.
The second-highest Indian bowler in the new rankings is Ravichandran Ashwin, who is ranked 13.

Singh recently claimed that the work Paras Mhambrey did with him on his run-up to help him become more reliable with his bowling line led to better results in the T20 World Cup in Australia.

"Consistency was always my main priority. On a global scale, you cannot afford to throw away too many loose balls. When using the new and old balls, I want to bowl well. I want to manage runs or take wickets based on the situation, " Arshdeep said.

"I worked on my run-up with Paras Mhambrey, the bowling coach for the Indian team. He advised me to be more honest so that my line would be more consistently followed. On Australia pitches, you cannot afford incorrect lines, he observed, according to Star Sports.
