MS Dhoni's hard work in training ahead of the start of the IPL 2023 season...

Digital Desk: MS Dhoni trained in preparation for the commencement of the IPL 2023 season. The CSK captain batted extensively and focused on power-hitting. The wicketkeeper's batting ability has deteriorated over the last two years. For the same reason, the 41-year-old is eager to reclaim his energy and return to the gym. Dhoni, unlike other cricketers, does not play domestic cricket, and with age also not on his side, the wicketkeeper batter is focusing on fitness and has begun training sessions.

After three years of waiting, CSK will return to their home in Chepauk. CSK management has chosen to conduct special training in Chepauk for this purpose. InsideSport knows that coach Stephan Fleming and captain MS Dhoni have requested a special camp in Chennai in February or March.

It would be extra special for Chennai Super King because they are returning to their home turf after a three-year absence. With some new faces on the club, CSK intends to hold a camp to acclimatise the players to the circumstances in Chennai. The camp will begin with domestic players before bringing in foreign stars according to their international schedule.

Dhoni expected to resign from IPL after the current season -

It's going to be the final time fans can watch Thala Dhoni in the IPL. The 41-year-old has already expressed a desire to play his final match in Chennai in front of his hometown crowd.
With Dhoni no longer scoring runs and completing games like he used to, he has opted to hand over the wicketkeeping and leadership baton.

Ruturaj Gaikwad and Ben Stokes are both vying to be Dhoni's replacement as CSK captain.
