    Digital Desk: Vaishali Rameshbabu, sister of chess prodigy R Praggnanandhaa brings pride and honour to India as as she became India's third female Grandmaster on Saturday.

    Earning the title Vaishali set a new record by earning over 2500 points in the 2023 IV Elllobregat Open 

    Notably, Vaishali and her younger brother have become the first Grandmaster siblings duo in history with this accomplishment. Furthermore, Vaishali is the third female player to attain the grandmaster title, besides female Chess legends Koneru Humpy and Harika Dronavalli

    Vaishali had previously met three GM requirements before completing the final one on Friday by obtaining the required number of rating points.
