IND vs ENG: England's star batter pulls out of Test series vs India due to personal reasons
The European Central Bank (ECB) confirmed Brook's exit in a statement and promised to reveal his replacement shortly.

Digital Desk: The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) declared on Sunday that Harry Brook of England has pulled out of the forthcoming five-match Test series against India for personal reasons. After participating in the team's training camp in Abu Dhabi, the middle-order batsman will be going home right away. On Thursday, January 25, Hyderabad is set to host the opening Test of the series.

The European Central Bank (ECB) confirmed Brook's exit in a statement and promised to reveal his replacement shortly. "Harry Brook is set to return home with immediate effect for personal reasons from the England Men's Test tour of India," the statement stated. He's not going back to India.

The Brook family has asked for privacy during this difficult moment, and the ECB has stressed how important it is to honor their requests. "The Brook family respectfully requests privacy during this time," the message said. Because of this, the family and the ECB respectfully ask that the public and media respect their right to privacy and not trespass on their personal space.

A replacement player for the tour will be announced by the England selection in due time. Brook played his final game for the England Whites against Australia at the Oval in July 2023. Brook made his Test debut against South Africa in 2022. The 24-year-old batsman from Yorkshire has participated in 12 Test matches, amassing 1181 runs at a remarkable 61 average, including four hundreds and seven fifties.
