IND vs ENG, 2nd Test: India beat England by 106 runs, level series 1-1
Jasprit Bumrah's outstanding effort, which included a critical review decision to dismiss Jonny Bairstow, led to an early lunch break.

Digital Desk: In the second Test match in Visakhapatnam on February 5, India defeated England by 106 runs owing to Yashasvi Jaiswal's first double-century and Jasprit Bumrah's outstanding nine-wicket diligence, which included six in the first innings. After India lost the opening Test match in Hyderabad by 29 runs, this victory brought the series to a 1-1 tie. Day 4's morning session saw England struggle to only achieve 292 runs after losing five wickets despite their valiant batting effort in an attempt to reach the challenging 399-run mark. Day 4 began at 67/1, thanks to boundaries from Zak Crawley and Rehan Ahmed for England.

Nevertheless, England's batting collapsed quickly after Axar Patel dismissed Rehan LBW for 23 runs. Just before lunchtime, India conducted a strategic review, which resulted in Crawley's dismissal off Kuldeep Yadav, capping a gallant 73-run effort after Ollie Pope and Joe Root fell quickly.

Jasprit Bumrah's outstanding effort, which included a critical review decision to dismiss Jonny Bairstow, led to an early lunch break.

Ravichandran Ashwin got three important wickets, bringing him closer to the 500-wicket mark in Test cricket. With England floundering at 194/6, the crucial morning session swung the contest in favour of India. With not even a ball to face, Ben Stokes proved vital for England.

After lunch, Ben Stokes was run out in the post-lunch session, which hurt England's aspirations because he was unable to run between the wickets. Compared to England's typical aggressive strategy, Stokes' defensive attitude saw him accumulate just 11 runs off 29 deliveries. Despite a 55-run partnership between Ben Foakes and Tom Hartley, England needed 124 runs to win when Foakes was bowled for 36 runs by Bumrah's slower ball.

India quickly ended England's innings after dismissing Foakes. India was victorious when Bumrah bowled out Hartley and Mukesh Kumar removed Shoaib Bashir.
