IND vs SA: Rohit Sharma becomes second captain after Williamson to play ICC finals across all formats
With this accomplishment, Rohit Sharma joins New Zealand's Kane Williamson as the only two captains to achieve this remarkable milestone.

Digital Desk: Rohit Sharma, the Indian captain, has created history by becoming the first Indian skipper to lead his team to ICC finals across all formats. This significant achievement was sealed as India competed against South Africa in the T20 World Cup 2024 final at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados on Saturday.

With this accomplishment, Rohit Sharma joins New Zealand's Kane Williamson as the only two captains to achieve this remarkable milestone. Before the T20 World Cup final, Rohit had already captained India in the World Test Championship final in 2023 in England and the ODI World Cup final in Ahmedabad.

In contrast, Kane Williamson led New Zealand in the 2021 WTC final, the 2019 ODI World Cup, and the 2021 T20 World Cup. Despite New Zealand's losses in both limited-overs formats, they secured victory over India in the inaugural World Test Championship title match.
