RCB vs PBKS: Bengaluru look for first win of IPL 2024 against Shikhar Dhawan & Co

The showdown of the 17th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is all set to lock the 6th match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru vs Punjab Kings...

Digital Desk: Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Punjab Kings face off in the sixth game of the season after IPL 2024 starts. RCB faced the defending champion Chennai Super Kings in the first match, however they were defeated. Conversely, PBKS faced the Delhi Capitals and emerged victorious by a narrow margin of four wickets.

After experiencing a batting collapse, RCB was saved by their lower order, which included Anuj Rawat and Dinesh Karthik, who helped them reach a respectable score. Before Mustafizur Rahman struck twice in an over to start the slide, RCB captain Faf du Plessis got off to a quick start. Rajat Patidar, Glenn Maxwell failed to open their accounts while Virat Kohli looked a bit rusty too.

Despite a late hiccup, PBKS had a better start, restricting DC to 174/9 before chasing it down in 19.2 overs. DC dropped two catches, one of which was dropped by Sam Curran, who went on to make the match-winning half-century, thus PBKS were a bit lucky.
