Digital Desk: The Indian Super League (ISL) season of 2023–24 will begin on September 21 and no rescheduling is reported, a Football Sports Development Limited (FSDL) spokeswoman said on Thursday.
The Indian Super League is managed by the Football Sports Development Limited, who are the marketing associates of the All India Football Federation (AIFF).
Kalyan Chaubey, the president of the AIFF, proposed on Wednesday that the ISL 2023–24 be postponed for 10 days starting on September 21 to make Indian players accessible for the Asia Games, which begin on September 19 in Hangzhou, China.
Further FSDL spokeswoman said that the ISL schedule was established and agreed upon after discussions with all parties, including the AIFF, and a postponement "at this stage" is not feasible given the busy schedule, which includes India's participation in the AFC Asian Cup in January of the following year.

"Extensive negotiations involving all stakeholders, including the AIFF, resulted in the creation and approval of the ISL 10 season schedule, which will start on September 21. The final start dates were scheduled based on the AIFF's suggestions for the league window," the official stated.
"The dates and format of the calendar, which includes the breaks required to suit FIFA windows and the break for the AFC Asian Cup, have been duly approved by all stakeholders," they added.
"Considering the packed football calendar, the season schedule has been designed to take into account all of these factors, leaving no room for the tournament to be postponed at this stage," stated the officials.
