    India’s first-ever Olympic fencer Bhavani Devi wins Charlellville National Competition in France

    Paris: Noted fencer from India Bhavani Devi has emerged as a winner of the Charlellville National Competition held in France.





    She was the winner in the women’s individual sabre event in the competition.





    Devi recently informed about her achievement through her social media account.





    After winning the competition she also thanked her coaches Christian Bauer, Arnaud Schneider along with her other teammates for their support and inspiration. Besides, Devi also congratulated them for a great beginning to the season.

    Earlier, the 28-year-old fencer scripted her name in history by becoming the first fencer to represent India at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.





    The Chennai born fencing sensation, who is ranked 50th in the world at the moment is currently preparing for a good show at the 2022 Asian Games to be held in China’s Hangzhou.
