Mumbai: The BCCI's board president Sourav Ganguly confirmed that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) would hold its 90th Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Kolkata on December 4.
The board electoral officer, A.K. Joti, has further issued a notification to all the full members, stating that they need to file forms to nominate their representatives for the BCCI elections for the posts of two members of the Governing Council by November 17, following which the draft electoral roll will be issued.
Following the basic process, the list of contesting candidates will be released on November 27. The election will be held on the day of the AGM between 12 pm and 2 pm. The results will be notified on the very day.

According to the announcement, "for a representative to be regarded for inclusion in the electoral roll for the BCCI Election, each full member and its representative shall be obliged to offer an application including all the papers/material defined within the deadline designated for receipt of such applications in the election schedule."
As per the rules of the BCCI, the IPL governing council will have to choose two members each year. One of them will fit the chairman.
Brijesh Patel is the present chairman of the governing council. Khairul Jamal Majumdar is the other chosen member of the council. It additionally consists of the BCCI secretary, treasurer, CEO, an ICA spokesperson and a nominee of the CAG.
In August, secretary Jay Shah had notified the associated units that the AGM would not take place before September 30. It was postponed due to the widespread pandemic. Last year, the AGM took place in Ahmedabad.
