Krunal Pandya’s Twitter Account Hacked, Hacker Sells it For Bitcoin
Digital Desk: Indian cricketer Krunal Pandya’s official Twitter account was illegally accessed by a miscreant on Thursday morning, making him the latest victim of Twitter hacking. The hacker, who claimed to be a bitcoin scammer, uploaded a series of tweets from the all-rounders’ account, including one that said, “Selling this account for bitcoins.”

Reportedly, the first tweet from the hacked account was made at 7:31 a.m. today, which was a retweet thanking the Baroda cricketer for following a Twitter account called ‘@suppliers.’

Since then, the hacker has shared more than ten tweets from Krunal’s account.

The all-rounder is the latest Twitter victim of bitcoin scammers. As per reports, scammers hijacked more than 100 verified accounts last year, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s official handle.

Meanwhile, netizens have taken to Twitter to comment on it since then. One user wrote, “Who even dared to hack lord Krunal’s account.”

“I won’t buy this account for free as well.” another user commented.

Meanwhile, one user suspected that the account was hacked by Krunal’s former Baroda colleague Deepak Hooda, who was involved in a brawl with the cricketer during their time together on the domestic circuit.

Krunal, who was a member of the Mumbai Indians’ team till the end of the IPL in 2021, has been released by the team ahead of the forthcoming auction.

On Thursday, the BCCI revealed the ODI and T20I series squads against the West Indies. Krunal was not selected for any of the teams. Krunal has represented India in five ODIs and 19 T20Is since his debut in 2018. In 50-over cricket, he has 130 runs, and in the shortest format, he has 124 runs. He has also taken 2 ODI wickets and 15 T20I wickets.
