MS Dhoni's Bat Sticker Gesture Makes Internet Bow Down. The Reason Is...
After a nail-biting victory over Gujarat Titans in the Ahmedabad final, he guided CSK to a record-tying fifth championship last season.

Digital Desk: Captain of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) MS Dhoni hit the nets to get ready for the upcoming season before making his highly anticipated comeback to action in the Indian Premier League. Dhoni is now only playing cricket in the Indian Premier League after announcing his retirement from international play in August 2020. After a nail-biting victory over Gujarat Titans in the Ahmedabad final, he guided CSK to a record-tying fifth championship last season. Dhoni is pictured practicing with a bat bearing the "Prime Sports" sticker in a widely shared photo. For those who do not know, Dhoni's friend Paramjit Singh owns Prime Sports, a store in Ranchi.

Dhoni's first bat sponsor was secured largely because of Paramjit's assistance. In the 2016 film 'MS Dhoni: The Untold Story,' his influence on Dhoni's career was also emphasized.

In order to maintain the fans' excitement about Dhoni's plans beyond this season, CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan stated that only Dhoni could determine if it would be his final season.

"That is unknown to me. Look, the captain will give you a straight response. He doesn't inform us of his plans," Viswanathan remarked, as reported by The Indian Express.

Early in June of this year, Dhoni underwent knee surgery. The player is undergoing rehabilitation right now, and it is anticipated that he will be fully fit for the 2024 IPL season.

"Now he's doing fine. He's already begun his recovery. He began working out at the gym. And he'll probably start working in the nets in ten more days," Viswanathan added.

CSK conducted some amazing business at the Players Auction in Dubai on December 19, trying to hold onto their Indian Premier League (IPL) title. Six players were signed by the MS Dhoni-led team, with all-rounder Daryl Mitchell of New Zealand being the most expensive at Rs 14 crore. The five-time winners shocked everyone when they paid Rs 8.4 crore to get Indian hitter Sameer Rizvi, who was not yet capped. India all-rounder Shardul Thakur left CSK after being released by KKR.
