    Digital Desk: Mumbai Indians (MI) opened their account in the ongoing
    Indian Premier League (IPL) with a dramatic six-wicket triumph over Delhi
    Capitals (DC) on Tuesday at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. Mumbai got off to a fast
    start in their chase of 173, with Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan scoring 71 runs
    for the first wicket. Ishan was then removed for 31 due to a mix-up.



    Following his dismissal, Rohit and Tilak Varma put on a crucial 68-run
    stand for the second wicket until Mukesh Kumar re-opened the battle in the 16th
    over. Tilak was dismissed for 41(29), and Suryakumar Yadav was out for a
    first-ball duck. Rohit, who had his first half-century in the championship
    after 25 innings, was out in the following over for 65(45), caught by
    wicketkeeper Abishek Porel.



    Tim David and Cameron Green brought Mumbai home in the final ball of the
    match after he was dismissed. Earlier, Axar Patel hit a stunning 25-ball 54 to
    rescue Delhi after they were reduced to 98/5. Apart from him, David Warner
    reached another half-century before being dismissed for 51.(47).



    Meanwhile, Mumbai performed admirably in the death overs, picking the

    three wickets.
